 | Los Angeles awakes on April Fools Day to the
                                  Mother of All April Fools Jokes!  Pirate
                                    Radio is broadcasting LIVE in Southern
                                    California on 106.7 FM. Shannon in the
                                    Morning, Shadow Steele, MJ Kelli, and others
                                    have long time KROQ listeners turned upside
                                    down. Instead of the ROQ's usual alternative
                                    fare, the Pirate Crew has brought out the
                                    famed "Big Dogs" and is telling Los Angeles
                                    to "Move Over Rover". It's hair band rock
                                    and roll time again! Joan Jett tells Pirate
                                    listeners "Let's Kick Some Ass!"  For 48 hours on April Fool's Weekend,
                                      it's Pirate Music, Pirate IDs, and Pirate
                                      Jocks. Shadow tells Southern California,
                                      "Pirate Radio LIVES on 106.7!" A few
                                      minutes later, he says "If you close your
                                      eyes forever, you can imagine it's 1989
                                      all over again" and launches into Lita
                                      Ford's "Close Your Eyes".  For one last, way too short time that
                                      spring of 1994, it was heaven and anarchy
                                      all over again.  |
